I was a bit of a loner in my youth. I had no desire to run to one specific huddle of girls at school recess. Oh, the poor girls who got caught up in that. If they were ever ostracized, it was devastating for them. I didn't fully realize at the time, I was witnessing cliques in action and how hurtful they can be.
